Brookside Golf Course Clubhouse

Clubhouse and Amenities – Rating 4.00

The Brookside Golf Course clubhouse may look like nothing fancy, but it does serve all needed purposes with a personal style and is capable of hosting special events of all sizes. It has good amenities with a driving range, chipping area, and putting green. Parking is good as are the cart paths. Carts could use an upgrade. There is not much offered for food and beverages for a golf course and the apparel and equipment selections are very limited. There is, however, a friendly atmosphere and very good service.

Brookside Golf Course Front Nine

Brookside Golf Course Hole 1

Hole 1 – Par 4 – Rating 6.00

Red: 299 yds
White: 348 yds
Blue: 364 yds

Start your round from large and level tees. The flat fairway has short rough and there are no hazards on this hole. A maintained fringe surrounds the small green that has a receptive but fairly flat surface that putts at a slow speed.

Brookside Golf Course Hole 2

Hole 2 – Par 4 – Rating 5.14

Red: 270 yds
White: 297 yds
Blue: 305 yds

The tee blocks here need some attention.  They are small, unlevel, and a bit abused by patrons. Tee off over a small flowing stream water hazard to the flat fairway edged with short rough. The bunkers are real sand and the fringe is maintained. The green is small, receptive, flat without much break, and putts slow.

Brookside Golf Course Hole 3

Hole 3 – Par 5 – Rating 5.34

Red: 450 yds
White: 469 yds
Blue: 471 yds

The first par 5 has medium size tees that are not level. The fairway is rolling with short rough and a stream water hazard cutting across the fairway. Note no bunkers and the fringe is maintained. The receptive green is slow in speed, flat, and small.

Brookside Golf Course Hole 4

Hole 4 – Par 4 – Rating 5.72

Red: 343 yds
White: 352 yds
Blue: 353 yds

This tee box is large and level. The fairway is rolling with a stream water hazard cutting across as you near the green. The rough is short, the bunkers are real sand, and the fringe maintained. The flat green is receptive, small, and slow of speed.

Brookside Golf Course Hole 5

Hole 5 – Par 5 – Rating 6.66

Red: 460 yds
White: 478 yds
Blue: 486 yds

Tee off from unlevel, medium size tees over a stream water hazard to the fairway with both rolling and flat areas. The short rough sides the fairway and there are no bunkers. The fringe around the small green is maintained. The green surface is flat, receptive, and putts slow.

Brookside Golf Course Hole 6

Hole 6 – Par 4 – Rating 5.66

Red: 285 yds
White: 304 yds
Blue: 312 yds

Though short, this can be one of the more challenging holes. From large but unlevel tees that need some care, you place your tee shot into the flat fairway that doglegs left. There is short rough, no bunkers, and a pond water hazard left of the green. We see a medium size green here with a maintained fringe, and a receptive and rolling surface that runs at a slow speed.

Brookside Golf Course Hole 7

Hole 7 – Par 3 – Rating 6.00

Red: 175 yds
White: 190 yds
Blue: 205 yds

The first par 3 comes late in the front nine with medium size, but unlevel tees. Tee through a chute of trees to a medium sized green that has no hazards and is not guarded by anything other than short rough. The fringe is maintained, and the green surface is slow speed, flat, but receptive.

Brookside Golf Course Hole 8

Hole 8 – Par 4 – Rating 6.00

Red: 298 yds
White: 319 yds
Blue: 329 yds

Tee over a water hazard from unlevel, medium size tees to the flat fairway that doglegs right with short rough siding it. Bunkers are real sand and the fringe is maintained. This receptive green is medium in size and slow in speed.

Brookside Golf Course Hole 9

Hole 9 – Par 3 – Rating 5.00

Red: 140 yds
White: 151 yds
Blue: 176 yds

End your front nine with a straight-forward par 3 from medium size, but unlevel tees. The approach is flat, and the small green is guarded by real sand bunkers and short rough. The green is flat, receptive, and putts quite slow.

Average Rating Holes 1-9: 5.72

Brookside Golf Course Back Nine

Brookside Golf Course Hole 10

Hole 10 – Par 4 – Rating 5.60

Red: 275 yds
White: 290 yds
Blue: 301 yds

Large and level tee boxes begin your back nine on this short par 4. The flat fairway has medium length rough and no hazards. The maintained fringe surrounds a large green that is receptive, rolling, and runs at a slow pace.

Brookside Golf Course Hole 11

Hole 11 – Par 4 – Rating 5.60

Red: 365 yds
White: 385 yds
Blue: 405 yds

Hole 11 has large but unlevel tees. The flat fairway slightly doglegs right and has short rough. Again, there are no hazards. A maintained fringe edges the medium size, slow paced green with a receptive but flat feel.

Brookside Golf Course Hole 12

Hole 12 – Par 3 – Rating 6.00

Red: 132 yds
White: 145 yds
Blue: 157 yds

The first par 3 on the back nine starts on large and level tee blocks. It plays ever so slightly uphill at the green and has medium length rough and real sand bunkers guarding the medium size green. This green putts slow and has a rolling surface but can be hard to hold.

Brookside Golf Course Hole 13

Hole 13 – Par 4 – Rating 5.66

Red: 376 yds
White: 390 yds
Blue: 401 yds

The tee area is level and medium in size, but not an official tee block. The fairway is flat, tree lined, and edged with short rough. Avoid the water hazard in the fairway at all costs. There are no bunkers, and the fringe is maintained. This rolling, receptive green is large and slow of speed.

Brookside Golf Course Hole 14

Hole 14 – Par 4 – Rating 5.20

Red: 383 yds
White: 401 yds
Blue: 417 yds

Tee off from medium sized, unlevel tees and the bail out is left, anything right is dead. The flat fairway has a short rough and no hazards. A maintained fringe encircles the large, rolling green that runs at a slow speed. Our reviewer noted chemical burn marks on the green at time of review, and hopefully these are healed and repaired.

Brookside Golf Course Hole 15

Hole 15 – Par 5 – Rating 5.66

Red: 466 yds
White: 482 yds
Blue: 498 yds

Here is your first par 5 on the back nine from level, medium size tees (not a block). The rolling fairway has short rough and there are no bunkers. There is, however, a water hazard at the green and the green is basically a peninsula jutting into the water. The green is large, quite rolling, and has a maintained fringe.

Brookside Golf Course Hole 16

Hole 16 – Par 4 – Rating 5.34

Red: 270 yds
White: 278 yds
Blue: 286 yds

Hole 16 is a short slight dogleg left from large and level tee boxes. The fairway is rolling with short rough and there is water all down the left side that should not come into play. No bunkers featured and there is a maintained fringe. The slow putting green is medium in size with a rolling surface. Again, our reviewer noticed chemical burns on the green at the time of review, and hopefully these are healed.

Brookside Golf Course Hole 17

Hole 17 – Par 5 – Rating 6.00

Red: 423 yds
White: 445 yds
Blue: 460 yds

Your last par 5 starts on medium size, and unlevel tees. The fairway is flat with short rough and there are no hazards of any kind to worry about. The green is small, runs at a slow speed, is receptive and flat.

Brookside Golf Course Hole 18

Hole 18 – Par 3 – Rating 6.00

Red: 125 yds
White: 130 yds
Blue: 140 yds

The final hole is a par 3 from large and level tee boxes. The green is guarded by short rough and real sand bunkers. No water hazards around and the fringe is maintained. This green is large and slow but does have a rolling feel.

Average Rating Holes 10-18: 5.67
