Devils knob Clubhouse

Clubhouse and Amenities – Rating 6.20

The log cabin-style clubhouse at Devils Knob Golf Course pays homage to the property’s history in the lumber industry. A gravel parking lot leads to an easy-to-find self-serve bag drop, with no tee times required as play operates on a first-come, first-served basis. The pro shop offers a limited selection of caps, hats, shirts, and visors at average prices, along with a small assortment of golf balls, gloves, tees, markers, and divot tools. Equipment options are minimal, but free club rentals are available. Inside, the clubhouse serves hot dogs, pre-packaged snacks, and a limited selection of beverages, including soda and beer, all at average prices. The bathrooms are clean, with additional porta-johns placed on the course. Wednesday golf specials provide added value, and the courteous, helpful, and friendly staff contribute to a welcoming experience.

Small, level tees start the hole. A rolling fairway plays uphill with medium length rough. No hazards come into play. The green has no fringe and has a medium size. Slow and receptive surfaces affect putting. A severe drop-off waits behind and to the left.

Large, level tee boxes sit elevated, with the forward tees placed right of the pond. A par 3 plays downhill over water. Medium-length rough borders the hole. No bunkers come into play. A large, receptive green has no fringe and little break.

A medium-sized green has no fringe and slopes right to left. Slow, receptive, and contoured surfaces lead to a sharp drop-off on the left side.

Elevated, large, level tees overlook the course’s signature par 3. Medium rough borders the hole, with a real sand bunker and multiple rakes nearby.
