The Orchards Golf Club Clubhouse

Clubhouse and Amenities – Rating 9.60

The Orchards Golf Club in southeast Michigan features one of the best clubhouses we have seen in both design and function. This classic looks facility offers excellent banquet facilities, including an outdoor area, plus a convenient grill that serves a variety of comfort foods like sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, and pre-packaged snacks. Great place for a charity golf outing or any event. A full bar with beer, sodas, juices, energy drinks, and water—all food and drinks at average pricing.

In the pro shop, golfers find a strong variety of apparel, including caps, hats, visors, shirts, and skirts, along with a larger selection of golf equipment at average pricing that includes golf balls, golf gloves, tees, ball markers, divot tools, golf clubs, golf bags, and golf shoes. Clubhouse restrooms are clean, porta-johns stand ready on the course, golf carts remain well-maintained with GPS, cart paths are paved, and well-marked, adequate paved parking is available, and an easy-to-find assisted bag drop welcomes players. Amenities include multiple practice greens and a driving range. The staff is outstanding in every respect.

The Orchards Golf Club is in Washington, Michigan. It features an eighteen-hole championship course. Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed the course. This near-perfect golf course has a bit of everything. It accommodates any style of play and various approaches. Elevation changes, water hazards, and outstanding bunkering create a true challenge. The layout remains playable for any level of player. The course offers beautiful scenery and excellent maintenance. It provides an upscale atmosphere with down-home hospitality. On the day of our review, The Orchards hosted the regional Drive, Chip, and Putt Contest. This event created a great venue for growing the game with youth players.
