Eldorado Golf Course has a large and excellent parking lot with overflow parking into the grass.  The carts and cart paths are decently maintained throughout this 27-hole golf course.  They have an average selection of apparel and equipment at average prices and, if you are a first time visitor, you might want to check out their variety of golf bags. Clubhouse, service and amenities are good.  They have a driving range, putting green, and chipping practice areas available.  This public course has a slightly above average golf course menu with a very good, full bar.  There is ample seating inside as well as a great deck outside to enjoy views of the course.

Hole 1 on the Red Course starts your round with medium size, level sets of tees. It features a rolling fairway that runs downhill then back uphill to the green, with long rough and maintained fringe. It has real sand bunkers though unraked. Well-maintained water hazard is to the left of fairway at driving distance. The green is medium in size and speed as well as receptive and rolling.

This shorter par 4 has level, medium sized tees. The fairway starts out flat but goes rolling downhill after a dogleg left. The rough is long, bunkers are real sand and the fringe is maintained. This green slopes from back to front. Green is large in size, medium in speed and quite receptive.

Hole 7 begins with large, level tee blocks. Tee shot is over water to your left the entire way on this par 3. Long rough and a maintained fringe surrounds a smaller, receptive, rolling green that runs at a medium speed.

Hole 8 has medium sized, level tee blocks. This first of 2 back-to-back par 5’s is a challenge. Fairway is rolling and enters a tight chute to the green upon your second shot. Rough is long and fringe is maintained. The green is medium size and speed with a slight back to front slope. Green is very receptive.

A par 5 finishes the Red Course with medium sized level tees. Fairway begins flat and then is rolling after the sharp dogleg left turn. Long drive is needed to reach the turn. Note long rough and a maintained fringe. This large, rolling,
receptive green is slightly elevated and runs at a medium speed.

Green is soft and receptive. Green is medium in size with many breaks and fast in speed.

This par 4 is the number one handicap on the Blue Course.  Tee off from level, medium size tees, uphill to a rolling fairway.  Your second shot will take you back downhill to a green set back in some trees.  The rough is long.  The bunkers are real sand and the fringe is maintained.  This medium size green is receptive and rolling, and runs at a medium speed. This is a challenging hole.

SUMMARY:

Designed by Jerry Matthews, Eldorado Golf Course has something to offer golfers of all skill levels.  The Red Course is sufficiently maintained with some challenges.  On the White Course, golfers will find a few shots where placement is of the highest importance.  Lastly, the Blue Course also has some excellent and difficult holes.  For all courses, the bunkers needed some TLC.  Overall, it’s a good play and a good value. See our video of El Dorado Golf Course.
