Clubhouse and Amenities – Rating 5.34

Gladwin Heights Golf Course provides adequate parking, carts and cart paths. There is a self-serve bag drop available. Amenities include a putting green and a driving range. In the clubhouse, there is little to offer in food, but there are a variety of beverages. The apparel selection is average, including shirts, hats, etc. and is at average pricing. The golf equipment available is limited to balls, tees, gloves, and mostly small items. The overall service is good. They run a scramble every Friday morning at 10 am, weather permitting, and a Sunday Special of 2 for 1 greens fee starting at 4 pm.

Hole 1 – Par 4 – Rating 7.42

Large and level tee boxes begin your round on this dogleg left par 4. The fairway is flat with short rough and a water hazard to the left side at the dogleg. The bunker behind the large green is real sand, and the fringe is maintained. The green has a receptive feel and putts at a medium speed.

Tees are large and level to start this par 4. The fairway is slightly rolling and plays downhill with short rough accompanying it. Bunkers are real sand and the fringe is maintained. The receptive green is rolling, large, and putts quite fast.

The final hole starts on large and level tee blocks. The fairway is flat with a slight dogleg left and short rough. A real sand fairway bunker sits out there to the right edge of the fairway. SUMMARY:

Gladwin Heights Golf Club is a course with multiple water hazards, and with a total of 5,895 yards of golf from the longest tees. Golfers of all levels can have an enjoyable golf experience on the short but competitive layout on this well-maintained 18-hole course. As a public course, the skill level requires accurate approach shots to many of the greens.
