Wheatfield Valley Golf Course’s clubhouse features two distinct areas. The first encompasses a modest yet well-stocked pro shop offering an array of apparel at average prices. It boasts a decent selection of equipment, ranging from balls and gloves to a collection of clubs. The second area is a spacious and inviting venue designed for events and relaxation. A grill is in operation, serving a variety of options such as hot dogs, burgers, sandwiches, and other classic golf course fare. The facility includes a full attached bar with a wide range of drink options. Here find ample parking and sufficiently maintained cart paths. The carts themselves are in good condition. Notably, the staff is known for their helpful and friendly demeanor. There are plenty of amenities, including a full driving range and a well-maintained putting green.

Hole 1 – Par 5 – Rating 6.57

Start your round on this reachable par 5 from large and level tees. The fairway is flat, allowing for a good lie to go for the green on your second shot. Rough is short and the bunkers are real sand with multiple rakes available. The fringe is maintained around this large, receptive green that runs at a medium speed.

Short hitters will like his downhill par 3 from the level, medium size and elevated tee. It is all rolling and downhill to the medium size green, with no bunkers and a pond water hazard lurking behind it. A maintained fringe surrounds the green surface, which is receptive and rolling, and putts at a medium speed.

Tee off from level, medium size, elevated tees on this relatively short par 4. It plays a little downhill and the rolling fairway has medium length rough. Plan for no hazards save for some light woods left. The green has a maintained fringe and is medium size, but deep. It is receptive and rolls at a medium pace.

Hole 4 is a hole that reminds us of woodlands courses. From the medium size, level tees, it is tight all the way in the flat fairway with medium length rough. The bunkers are real sand and there is a water hazard left of the green, the fringe is maintained, and the green is medium size and speed. The putting surface is tiered with a ridge. The green is receptive and very rolling.

There are level and medium size tees to start this straight-forward par 3. The approach is flat, the rough is medium length, and the bunker is real sand. The green is large and deep with a maintained fringe. It has a receptive and rolling feel and runs at a medium speed.

Elevated, level and medium size tees give you a good look at the flat fairway on this slight dogleg left. A long hitter off the tee can reach the woods straight-away. A 3 wood or a draw with your driver is an optimal play. The rough is medium length and there is a fairway bunker right to steer clear of. There is also a pond water hazard for hole 8 that can come into play right. The fringe is maintained, and the medium size green is receptive, putting at a medium speed.

Level and medium size tee blocks start this 3rd par 3 on the front. It doesn’t seem particularly challenging at first, but its characteristics make it one of the toughest of the course’s holes. With woods to the right, a large real sand bunker, and a deep green that drops off sharply on the left side, it gives you only the green itself to work with. The green is medium in size and speed and is receptive.

From level, medium size tees make sure you drive the ball straight to the rolling fairway that runs downhill and back uphill to the green. The rough is medium in length and there is a pond you cannot see down the hill to the right edge of the fairway. Bunkers are real sand and the fringe is maintained. This green is medium size, with a false front and slightly sloped back to front. It is receptive and medium speed.

The medium size, level tees allow you to make sure your tee shot is to the left side of the fairway to avoid the tree lined right side which is out of bounds to the driving range. All the bunkers are real sand and the fringe is maintained. The green itself is receptive, rolling, sloped back to front with a medium overall size and a medium putting speed.

Starting the back nine on a par 5 that is reachable in two shots even from the back tees, which are medium size and level. Aim for the flat fairway and stay left of the line of trees down the right side. Real sand fills all bunkers and a well-maintained fringe surrounds a large and deep green. Along with being receptive, the green slopes back to front with a medium putting pace.

Level and medium size tee boxes start a hole that is the right par (4) for the right time on this shorter hole. The flat fairway gives you a space to stay left of the line of trees on the right. The fairway bunker left is real sand and the fringe is maintained. This flat green is medium in size as well as speed and is receptive.

Level, medium size tees start this deceptively hard par 4. The fairway is slightly rolling with a long uphill slope to the green that is a half club elevation change at least. The rough is medium and there is a pond water hazard right of the fairway near driver distance. The bunkers are real sand and the fringe is maintained. The green is a challenge due to being large, deep, tiered on the back and sloped back to front. Luckily, it is only medium speed and receptive.

This par 4 is a favorite hole on the course. From elevated, medium size, level tees, it is a true risk-reward hole. The fairway is flat and doglegs right running downhill from the tees. If you challenge to cut the corner, you can drive the green or end up in the woods lost. Rough is medium length and bunkers are real sand. A maintained fringe surrounds the medium size green with a receptive surface that runs at a medium speed.

Golf another risk-reward hole from level, medium size tee boxes as you tee out a wooded chute. The fairway is flat with a slight dogleg right and medium rough. Decision is iron off the tee or to go for the green in one. All bunkers are real sand and the fringe is maintained. The green is medium in size and speed, with a receptive surface that is sloped back to front.

Finally, you reach the first par 3 on the back nine. Medium size, level tees give you a straight tee shot over a water hazard. It is all-carry the to large, deep green. The rough is medium but there are no bunkers to contend with. Far left or right is lost. The fringe is maintained around this receptive, tiered green that is sloped from back to front and putts at a medium pace.

Tee off out a wooded chute from level, medium size tees to a rolling and uphill fairway with medium length rough and a fence line left. The bunkers are real sand and the fringe is maintained. The green is medium in speed and size, with a receptive surface.

Hole 17 – Par 5 – Rating 6.00

Blue: 506 yds

Level and medium size tee blocks start the final par 5. The fairway is mostly flat with a soft, low area short of the green sure to the overflow in wet times of the water hazard right of the fairway. Tree lined to the left; it is best to err right off the tee. The fringe is maintained and there are no bunkers. The green is large, receptive and sloped back to front putting at a medium speed.

Your final hole is a longer par 3 with out of bounds left, from medium size, level tee blocks. The approach is flat with a water hazard to carry sitting well short of the green. The bunkers are real sand and the fringe is well-maintained. The green itself is large, sloped back to front, pretty receptive, and rolls at a medium speed.
