SUMMARY:

Located near the heart of downtown Grand Rapids and named for a portion of the old gypsum mines, The Mines Golf Club epitomizes consistency in every aspect. From the multiple sets of tees and bluegrass fairways to the bunkers and bent grass greens, the course maintains a consistent standard. Notably, the absence of water hazards ensures that players don’t lose golf balls to aquatic challenges. Cut through mature hardwoods this unique property gives a northern Michigan feel from the lower west side of the state.
While the course generally excels by good access, one area for potential improvement is the prevalence of ball marks on the greens. We attribute this issue to a lack of care from the clientele, who could contribute by promptly fixing ball marks. Despite this, The Mines Golf Club does a great job of offering a consistently enjoyable golf experience at a reasonable price. See our video of The Mines Golf Club.
