The clubhouse at The Links at Crystal Lake in the city of Pontiac, Michigan, serves the citizens of Pontiac and neighboring communities as a central hub for golfers offering a welcoming atmosphere with a range of amenities. It features a newly renovated full bar and patio. They serve a variety of fare from normal golf course items to a wider range of lunch and light dinner items. Adjacent to the clubhouse, the Pro Shop has a limited selection golf equipment, apparel, and accessories. The staff is friendly, and the course does provide a drink cart on the course for refreshments.

Hole 1 – Par 4 – Rating 7.67

Begin your round from large and level tees. The fairway is rolling and runs uphill being sided by short rough. there are real sand bunkers with multiple rakes available and a maintained fringe. This green is small, but tricky with a receptive and rolling feel that runs at a fast pace. It is also sloped back to front.

Your first par 3 comes early from level, medium size tee boxes. The approach is rolling, and the hole plays downhill with short rough and real sand bunkers guarding the green. Multiple rakes are available. This medium size green has a maintained fringe and putts at a fast speed. The surface is sloped back to front and is rolling and receptive.

The first and only par on the front nine starts on elevated, level medium size tees. The rolling fairway runs uphill slightly and there is short rough, real sand bunkering with multiple rakes, and a maintained fringe. The large green is tiered, receptive and rolling, putting at a pretty fast pace.

Level, medium size tee blocks lead you to the rolling fairway that runs downhill. Edged by short rough with a marsh/wetland left and a pond right for water hazards. All bunkers are real sand and the fringe is well-maintained. This fast-rolling green is medium in size, tiered, receptive and rolling.

The 2nd and last par 3 on the front nine is all carry over a beautiful pond water hazard from level, medium size tees. Enjoy the water hazards fountain that helps maintain its level of quality. Bunkers at the green are real sand with multiple rakes and the fringe is maintained. This green is very large, rolling, receptive, and sloped back to front. It runs at a fast speed.

Hole 6 has medium size, level tees to help you place your tee shot in the right spot on this dogleg right. The rolling fairway runs downhill with short rough. Medium size, level tees begin this par 4, sharp dogleg right. There is short rough and protected wetlands to the right guarding the dogleg. There are no bunkers on this hole and the fringe is maintained. The receptive, rolling, medium size green is sloped back to front and rolls at a fast pace.

Level, medium size tees boxes give you the best chance to hit this tough fairway. Teeing over protected wetlands to the flat fairway with a sharp dogleg left and short rough. Bunkers are real sand and the fringe maintained. A receptive and rolling, medium size green awaits you that runs at a fast speed.

This small green is receptive, rolling and sloped back to front. It runs at a medium speed and is the slowest green on the course.

The first par 3 on the back nine is straight-forward from level, medium size tees. Playing all downhill the lake lays to the left as a water hazard. Real sand bunkers and a maintained fringe are at the large, fast paced green. The green surface is rolling and receptive.

Medium size, level tee boxes start this sweeping par 5. The fairway is flat with a sweeping dogleg left around a water hazard. The rough is short and the bunkers are real sand with multiple rakes available. The large green has a maintained fringe and a surface that is receptive and rolling, putting at a fast speed.

Hole 14 – Par 3 – Rating 6.80

This par 3 could be the signature hole as it is set entirely on an island you reach by bridge. The tees are small, and level and you tee over an inlet of water to the medium size green. There are no bunkers and the rough is short. The green is sloped back to front, receptive, rolling, and runs at a fast speed.

The fairway is rolling with short rough. The water only comes into play from the back tees (in a big and intimidating way). Bunkers are real sand and the fringe is maintained. A receptive, rolling, medium size green awaits you with a slope from back to front and a fast-putting pace.

The final par 3 from level, medium size tees is a bit of a relief after the past two holes. With a flatter approach and only real sand bunkers and short rough to consider. The fringe is maintained around this medium size green with a fast paced putting surface that is rolling, receptive and sloped back to front.

The course’s final par 5 starts on large and level tees. A rolling fairway with short rough, fairway bunkers and no water hazards heads to the large green with a maintained fringe. There are real sand bunkers with multiple rakes available. The green surface is fast of speed, rolling, receptive, and sloped left to right.
