The Clubhouse and pro shop at Marquette Golf Club offer a warm and inviting atmosphere, serving as a hub of activity for golfers and visitors alike. Situated amidst the picturesque landscape of the Upper Peninsula, the Clubhouse provides a restaurant Inside with a full and comprehensive menu, a full bar, and a pleasant wait staff, all at average pricing. Golfers can find a well-appointed pro shop nearby stocked with variety equipment, apparel, and accessories, catering to both seasoned players and beginners.
Knowledgeable and friendly staff members are on hand to assist with equipment selection and offer expert advice. Amenities include a driving range and putting green. Carts paths could use some attention but the carts themselves are in great shape. Parking is adequate and close to the needed areas. Yardage books are available. Hole 1 – Par 4 – Rating 8.33

Elevated, level, and medium size tee boxes begin your round. The rolling fairway runs downhill, and doglegs slightly left with short rough. All bunkers have real sand with the fairway bunkers in great shape. Multiple rakes are available. The fringe is maintained around the large, medium speed green with a receptive and rolling surface that slopes back to front.

Hole 2 – Par 4 – Rating 8.25

This beautiful par 4 starts on level, medium size tees. The rolling fairway doglegs right around a great pond water hazard, and then runs uphill to the elevated green. The rough is medium length, bunkers are real sand, and the fringe is maintained. The medium size green is receptive, rolling, sloped back to front, and putts at a fast pace.

Small but level tees show you the first part of the fairway and the green in the distance, but not what lies after the severe drop off, so wait for the bell or please check to make sure players have cleared on this blind tee shot. The fairway is a rolling, severe downhill with medium rough that can be dense. There is a water hazard far right and the bunkers are real sand. The medium size green has a maintained fringe and is a fast-putting green sloped back to front. It is receptive and rolling.

Your first par 5 rises up from small and level tee blocks. This rolling fairway runs uphill, downhill, and doglegs right. There is medium length, denser rough and real sand bunkers with multiple rakes. A maintained fringe edges a large green that is very undulating. Sloped back to front, it is receptive, rolling, and runs at a fast speed.

The first par 3 is fairly straight-forward from level, medium size tees. The approach is flat though the feel of the hole is slightly uphill. Real sand bunkers and medium rough guard the large, fast-putting green. The surface is rolling, receptive, and sloped back to front.

From medium size, level tees, placement of your tee shot is important as you are teeing over a dry gorge. Though not long in distance, it needs to be long on accuracy. The rolling fairway has medium length rough and real sand bunkers. The maintained fringe skirts the large green with a receptive and rolling surface. It putts fast with a back to front slope as well as a right to left slope.

The 2nd par 3 on the front nine starts on large and level tees. Playing downhill, this hole is all carry with not much room for missing the green. Medium rough and real sand bunkers guard this small green. Sloped back to front, the green is rolling and receptive, running at a fast speed.

Level and medium size tees give you a good view of the rolling fairway that runs downhill with a slight dogleg left. There is medium rough that is dense and real sand bunkers. The large green has a maintained fringe and a receptive, rolling surface that is tiered left to right. It runs at a fast pace.

It is rolling and receptive.

Start the back nine on level, medium size tees. This fairway is rolling with a slight dogleg left and runs downhill. Bunkers are real sand, rough is medium length and the fringe is maintained. Small, level tees give you a look at a fairly open tee shot with the only real hazards being far right. The rolling fairway runs uphill and doglegs right with medium length, denser rough. No bunkers are featured on this hole. Edging this large green is a maintained fringe. The greens surface is receptive, rolling, and sloped back to front. The green putts fast and there are a sprinkler and drain in the large green, so relief to putt if those impede is granted.

Your tee shot on hole 12 is a combination of elevated and blind (can’t see the green) from small, level tee blocks. The fairway runs downhill, and it is rolling with denser, medium length rough. Bunkers are real sand and the fringe is well maintained. The large, fast-paced green has a rolling, receptive feel and is sloped left to right with a back right corner collection area.

From small but level tees, find the fairway on this par 4. The rolling fairway has both downhill and uphill features and is edged with medium rough that is denser in nature. All bunkers are in good shape and real sand. A maintained fringe surrounds the large green that is sloped back to front with a receptive, rolling feel that runs out quite fast.

The only par 3 on the back 9 comes at hole 14. From level, medium size tees find the putting surface with your tee shot. There is a small approach or collection area in front of the medium size green and there are real sand bunkers guarding. Rough is medium length and the fringe well-maintained. This fast-putting green is receptive, rolling, and sloped back to front.

If this hole looks tight from the elevated, small and level tee box, it’s because it is tight. The rolling fairway sits far downhill below, and it is tree-lined and edged with medium length rough. Real sand bunkers and a maintained fringe await you at the medium size green with a surface that is sloped back to front, rolling, and receptive. It putts at a fast speed.

You now arrive at the only par 5 on the back nine. From small, level tees, find the rolling fairway on this tree-lined hole. The fairway runs uphill and there is a blind 2nd shot to make so beware. No bunkers or water hazards lurk ahead. The medium size green has a maintained fringe, and is designed to be narrow and deep, sloped back to front with a rolling feel. The putting speed is fast.

Hole 17 – Par 4 – Rating 6.86

Hit your tee shot out of the chute from elevated, level and small tee boxes. This rolling, tree-lined fairway runs downhill with medium length rough and real sand bunkers with a few small rocks. There is a maintained fringe around this small, fast-putting green. It has a receptive, rolling surface that is sloped back to front.

The final hole seems fairly simple at first glance from the elevated, small, level tee blocks. The fairway is rolling and runs downhill with a dogleg left. The rough is medium length and the bunkers are real sand but with some rocks in them. The green is medium size with a maintained fringe. The green surface is sloped back to front, rolling and receptive with a fast-putting speed.
