The Cascades Clubhouse

Clubhouse and Amenities – Rating 4.20

While the clubhouse itself at The Cascades Course is nice, there is not much to offer in the way of apparel and equipment has very limited selections.  But they are available at average pricing, which is good. They do offer a limited food and drinks variety including soft drinks. However, the parking is adequate, and the carts and paths are in good shape. They offer adult golf leagues and outing services. The service is also quite good with a great staff. Do not expect a lot of variety and go enjoy the course. It is located in the southern part of the city of Jackson, Michigan.

SUMMARY:

The Cascades Golf Club, despite the lack of much at the clubhouse, is a quality play run by the Jackson County parks department. This is fun course varied terrain and provides the right amount of challenge, without being too hard, especially from the longest tees which have a slope rating of 73.0. There are a few water hazards, holes with an elevation change, some tough hole locations, and some beautiful scenery for an old course with easily viewed yardage markers. The maintenance is overall quite good with the greens, fairways and especially the bunkers being in great condition. It’s a course that long time players, faster players, and players of different skill levels can enjoy. The affordable cost to play makes it an even better value, so get a tee time for this recommended play when in Jackson. See our video of The Cascades Golf Course.
