SUMMARY:

Located not a far drive from many cities such as Battle Creek, Kalamazoo. St Joseph, Grand Haven and Paw Paw, The Spruce Course at Pine View Golf Club is an 18-hole course that can be described as consistently average across various aspects. From the scarcity of hazards to every element falling into the middle range, the course epitomizes a balanced golfing experience along with some challenging holes in west Michigan golf designed by Ed Powell. As a public golf course, it may not be a great course it does provide a great experience. Interestingly, as one of 2 championship courses on the property it shares similarities with its counterpart, the Hemlock Course at Pine View, creating a cohesive experience for players with nice straightforward golf. Playing 6,727 yards of golf from the longest tees it is not a short course but is particularly suitable for golfers in the early stages of learning who seek a bit more distance in their rounds, the 18-hole Spruce Course maintains its appeal as a valuable option, thanks to its affordability. It has a 127-slope rating and plenty of trees so avoid the old “tree golf” round if you can. Despite its unassuming nature, it provides a great place for those looking to enhance their golfing skills, offering a harmonious blend of accessibility and challenge.
