SUMMARY:

The 18-hole Hemlock Course at Pine View Golf Club boasts several virtues. Opening in 1968 and designed by Ed Reuss, as a public golf course, the fast greens are consistent and receptive, as well as generously sized. The fairways and tees are ample and in decent condition, as is the limited water present. Playing 6,305 yards from the longest tees it is not a short course but also not particularly long either. While everything is solid, it doesn’t reach great course status. It does have a few challenging holes, and a few can be tight, but it is not considered a “woods course” though it is a natural course. Notably, The Hemlock course stands out as one of the flattest golf courses we’ve reviewed, lacking significant terrain variation within a considerable distance which at times may appeal to the average golfer. Despite this, though not a championship course, it offers a quality golfing experience at an affordable price, making it an excellent choice for beginners embarking on their first 18-hole course in the West Michigan golf region. Located not a far drive from many cities such as Battle Creek, Kalamazoo. St Joseph, Grand Haven and Paw Paw. See our video of Pine View Golf Club – Hemlock Course.

Pine View Golf Club has a sister course, which we have also reviewed. See our Pine View Golf Club – Spruce Course Review.
