Maple Creek Golf Club Clubhouse

Clubhouse and Amenities – Rating 6.55

The clubhouse at Maple Creek Golf Club is quite nice. The parking is very good and gives easy access to the clubhouse, events center and all the amenities offered such as golf clubs to rent if needed. Carts are newer and in excellent shape, though the cart paths could use upgrading. They have little in the way of apparel available and a little more available in golf equipment. There is a full bar and a full menu in the Fireside Grille. There is no bag drop and the service provided is pretty good.

Maple Creek Golf Club Front Nine

Maple Creek Golf Club Hole 1

Hole 1 – Par 5 – Rating 5.33

Red: 322 yds
Gold: 330 yds
White: 450 yds
Blue: 474 yds

Start your round on small and level tees for this par 5. The fairway is flat and slightly doglegs right with medium length rough and bunkers that are unmaintained. The green is small with a maintained fringe. The green is also sloped back to front, is rolling and receptive and putts at a slow speed.

Maple Creek Golf Club Hole 2

Hole 2 – Par 3 – Rating 5.67

Red: 96 yds
Gold: 158 yds
White: 171/206 yds
Blue: 210 yds

Your first par 3 has level, small tee blocks. The hole is straight away, and the approach is flat. There is a water hazard in front left of the tees. The rough is medium length and there are no bunkers. A maintained fringe edges this medium size green with a surface that is receptive, rolling, tiered, and sloped back to front. It runs at a slow speed.

Maple Creek Golf Club Hole 3

Hole 3 – Par 4 – Rating 5.71

Red: 297 yds
Gold: 307 yds
White: 372 yds
Blue: 434 yds

Small and level tee boxes give you a good view of the flat fairway that has a slight dogleg right and medium length rough. There is a water hazard as you near the green with real sand bunkers that are not maintained. A maintained fringe is around this medium size and speed green. It is receptive, rolling, and sloped back to front.

Maple Creek Golf Club Hole 4

Hole 4 – Par 4 – Rating 6.00

Red: 310 yds
Gold: 314 yds
White: 338 yds
Blue:
385 yds

We consider this the signature hole of the course. Starting on large, level and elevated tees, aim your shot over a waste area into the flat fairway. Placement is everything and a driver is probably not needed for most players. Avoid the medium rough and the winding creek that you will have to cross over multiple times to reach the green. The green is medium in size and speed with a maintained fringe and a surface sloped back to front that is receptive and rolling.

Maple Creek Golf Club Hole 5

Hole 5 – Par 3 – Rating 5.00

Red: 161 yds
Gold: 169 yds
White: 177 yds
Blue: 184 yds

The small and unfortunately unlevel tees point you to this longer but straight away par 3. A flat approach, medium rough and unmaintained, pebbly bunkers guard the green. This green is small, with a maintained fringe, and it is tiered, rolling, receptive, sloped back to front, and runs at a medium speed.

Maple Creek Golf Club Hole 6

Hole 6 – Par 5 – Rating 5.33

Red: 354 yds
Gold: 365 yds
White: 439 yds
Blue: 464 yds

Small and level tees begin the 2nd par 5. This rolling fairway has a sharp dogleg right and runs downhill. The rough is medium and there is a pond water hazard short of the green. The fringe is maintained and the green itself is small, receptive, and sloped back to front with a few bare spots. It putts at a medium speed.

Maple Creek Golf Club Hole 7

Hole 7 – Par 4 – Rating 5.00

Red: 289 yds
Gold: 293 yds
White: 333 yds
Blue: 347 yds

Small and level tees point you down this tighter rolling fairway. It runs slightly uphill and has a sharp dogleg right. Medium rough, no water hazards and very unmaintained bunkers come into play as you reach the green. This medium size green is medium in speed with a maintained fringe. The surface is receptive, rolling, and sloped back to front with some bare spots.

Maple Creek Golf Club Hole 8

Hole 8 – Par 4 – Rating 5.33

Red: 316 yds
Gold: 326 yds
White: 334 yds
Blue: 385 yds

The tees are small but level on this fairly open par 4. The fairway is flat, with medium rough and it doglegs slightly right. There is something resembling an old bunker here but just avoid it or free drop out of it. The green is small, rolling, receptive, sloped back to front, and rolls at a medium speed.

Maple Creek Golf Club Hole 9

Hole 9 – Par 4 – Rating 5.00

Red: 319 yds

Here begins a four-hole series with what we consider Maple Creek Golf Club’s version of “Amen Corner.” Start on small and level tees. The fairway is flat with medium rough, and a dogleg left. Kicker here is at the dogleg.  The fairway ends and the hole drops off a cliff with a flowing creek at the base. No bunkers featured and there is a maintained fringe. The green is medium size and speed with a receptive surface.

The bunkers are unmaintained, and the fringe is maintained. The green is receptive, rolling and sloped back to front. The speed and size are both medium.

Red: 215 yds
Gold: 220 yds
White: 329 yds
Blue: 389 yds

Tee off with another drop off to the creek on this third installment of the series from small and level tees. The fairway is rolling and the hole again doglegs left at the drop off/ creek. There are medium length rough and unmaintained bunkers. A maintained fringe edges the medium size green. This green is receptive, rolling, sloped back to front and has some bare spots. It runs at a medium pace.

On this last part of this ball gobbler series, start again with a blind tee shot from level, small tees and continue uphill all the way to the hole. Make sure your drive makes the top of the hill through the extremely narrow opening. Fairway is flat with medium rough, and the bunkers are in poor condition. The green is medium in size and speed, it is receptive, rolling, and sloped back to front with a maintained fringe.

Hole 18 – Par 5 – Rating 4.25

Red: 349 yds
Gold: 360 yds

The final hole is also the final par 5 from medium size, level tees. A flat fairway doglegs left around a large pond water hazard with medium length rough. There is a second water hazard short and right of the green. The bunkers are in poor condition. A maintained fringe surrounds the small green that is sloped back to front, receptive, rolling and medium in speed.
