SUMMARY:

The 18-hole Hidden Oaks Golf Course in St. Louis, Michigan, holds a storied legacy dating back to its inception in 1970. Credit for the design goes to the esteemed duo of golf course architects Bruce Matthews Sr. and his son Jerry Matthews. The course embodies the essence of classic golf architecture as a natural course making use of natural wetlands. In 1999, renowned golf course architect Jerry Matthews further enriched the experience with his design of the back nine, seamlessly integrating modern elements while preserving the course’s timeless charm.
Playing 6,555 yards from the longest tees, Hidden Oaks is a public golf course located in the middle of the mitten state.  Yet, it exudes an “up north” feel, transporting golfers of all skill levels to a challenging setting with tight tree lines on acres of wooded terrain. Holes 5, 6 and 7 all have blind shots that do require patience to make sure it is all clear, but pace of play is still able to be maintained. See our video of Hidden Oaks Golf Course.
