Diamond Springs Golf Course provides good and ample parking along with a self-serve bag drop area. They have very good service and a friendly staff throughout. Carts are excellent but cart paths could use some attention. There is a very nice English-style clubhouse with amenities like a chipping area and putting green. There is a pro shop but iti s limited in equipment and apparel. They have limited menu of golf course food in the pavilion grille with average pricing. On course beverage carts are available.

Hole 1 – Par 4 – Rating 8.00

Starting is a straight par 4 with a level and medium sized tee block. Next is a rolling fairway sided with long rough. This hole has real sand bunkers and a well-maintained fringe. The green is medium in size, rolling and receptive. Green runs at a fast speed.

Beginning on a small level tee block you drive into a rolling fairway that doglegs left around a corner bunker. Plan for long length rough. Bunkers are real sand. A well-maintained fringe surrounds a fast green that is receptive and rolling.

Hole 3 starts with medium-sized, level tee blocks. Your drive goes into a rolling fairway that goes uphill and downhill. Hole has long rough, real sand bunkers and well-maintained fringe. The medium sized green is receptive, rolling and runs at a fast speed.

This par 5 has a level, small tee block. Fairway fades slightly to the right, is very rolling and accompanied by long rough. Real sand bunker guards the front left corner of the green. Maintained fringe surrounds this medium sized, fast green. Green is very receptive.

A level set of small tee blocks start this par 3. Hole plays uphill with long length of grass rough surrounding the green. The green is large, receptive, and rolling, running at a fast speed. A well-maintained fringe edges the green.

Tee off on level medium sized tee blocks. Rolling fairway goes uphill doglegging slightly right, avoid the water hazards. The rough is long, bunkers are real sand and the fringe is maintained. This medium sized green is receptive, rolling and can be quite fast.

Tee off from medium size, level tees to a rolling fairway that slightly fades left. A large ravine runs to the left of the fairway the entire length. Start your back 9 on medium size, level tees. The rolling fairway doglegs right around a large pond. Rough is long but a little burnt. Well-maintained fringe is on this hole. The rolling green is large, receptive and runs at a fast speed.

Medium size, level tees start this short but challenging par 4. Tee off over the ravine with ravine and waste area to right of the rolling downhill fairway. Real sand bunkers and a well-maintained fringe await at the green. Green is backed by a hill inviting the long hitters to go for it in one. Green is large, receptive, and rolling. It runs at a medium speed.

Level, medium sized tees point you down a rolling fairway that doglegs off the tee and right immediately at the green. Ravine sides the fairway to the right and a tee shot can easily go too far into the ravine. Long rough, and real sand maintained, bunkers are on this hole. The medium sized, green sets on a peninsula into the ravine. It runs at a medium speed and is receptive and rolling.

Tee off from medium, level tees, over the stunning ravine and water that has now become a common feature on the back nine. Hole also features long rough, real sand bunkers and a maintained fringe. Green is medium in size and speed, sometimes hard to hold.

Level, medium sized tees start your finishing par 4. Water and ravine run along the right side of the fairway to a green slightly positioned to the right over the water. Look for long grass to the left of fairway, long rough, real sand bunkers and a well-maintained fringe. This is a large green, with a harder surface. It runs at a medium speed.

SUMMARY:

Diamond Springs Golf Course is hidden gem among the beautiful wilderness of the Allegan state game area in West Michigan. The course plays very consistent and is well-maintained from tee to green. It gives a challenge and is visually appealing though can be at times visually intimidating. This public golf course features acres of oak, pine-clad sandhills, interesting topography, deep ravines, a lot of bunkers, and multiple tee boxes. With a good layout it provides challenging links, great design, a wonderful playing experience no matter your skill level and a real test of your golfing abilities.
