As part of the Brookshire Inn & Golf Club along the Red Cedar River, the Brookshire Golf Club has an exceptional restaurant.  Featured photo is of the restaurant, one of the banquet venues where guests can enjoy a meal and a full bar of refreshments.  Parking is adequate for both the restaurant and the clubhouse.  Bag drop is self-serve, and the clubhouse has limited apparel selection with average pricing.  Carts and cart paths are very nice.  Service is good throughout.

Hole 1 eases you into your round with large, level tee blocks and a flat fairway with a severe dip in front of the green. Rough is medium length and the fringe is well maintained. Green is very large, receptive and runs at a fast speed.

Hole 2 continues where hole 1 left off. It has large, level tee blocks, medium rough and real sand bunkers surrounding the green. It is the shortest hole on the Brookshire Golf Club Course. The large, fast green is rolling and tiered. Fringe is well maintained.

Hole 3 is where things start to pick up. Large, level tee blocks point you down a flat fairway that slightly doglegs right between two ponds as you approach the green. Rough is medium length and fringe is well maintained. The green is large, fast and rolling with many subtle breaks.

Level, medium tees start this shorter par 4. Fairway is flat and doglegs left around a pond. Rough is medium length. Fringe is well maintained. Large, real sand bunkers side the green. The green is large and rolling, running at a fast pace.

Large, level tees and a flat fairway, with knolls to the sides, doglegs right. Fairway bunker is not as maintained as bunkers near the green. All bunkers are real sand. Medium length rough and well-maintained fringe are found on this hole. Green is large, receptive, rolling and runs at a medium speed.

Prepare for a sharp dogleg left on this par 4. Tees blocks are large and level. Fairway is rolling and runs uphill, doglegs left and flattens out toward the green. Bunkers are real sand. Rough is medium length and fringe is well-maintained. The green is large, rolling, receptive and it’s fast.

Large, level tees on this last hole for the front nine. Fairway runs severely uphill, fading to the right. Water off the front of the tee block is marshy and a bit stagnant. Rough is medium length and the fairway bunker is real sand. Approach shot to the green goes over a large ravine waste area. Fringe is well-maintained. This fast green slopes back to front, is medium in size, receptive, and has many breaks.

Green is large in size, rolling, fast and surrounded by a well-maintained fringe.

Keep your driver in the bag. Large, level tee blocks lead to a fairway that is flat and runs slightly downhill to a stream that you should lay up before. Hole has medium length rough. Green is surrounded by a well-maintained fringe and a virtual minefield of sand traps with real sand. Green is large, fast and quite undulating.
