Clubhouse and Amenities – Rating 6.66

At Boulder Creek Golf Club, there is great parking and a bag drop. The clubhouse is very nice and has a country club feel with good service making this a world class golf facility. There is a decent selection of food and drinks available as well as a good selection of equipment and apparel, all at average pricing. The carts are above average, and the cart paths are solid. Yardage books are available. Overall, the clubhouse and what they offer is very accommodating.

Begin your round from level, medium size tee boxes. The rolling fairway runs downhill and has medium length rough. There is a water hazard left and short of the green to avoid and the bunkers are real sand. A maintained fringe surrounds this medium size green with a rolling and receptive surface that runs at a medium speed.

This is a large green that is receptive and rolling. It putts at a medium speed.

Time for the first par 5 on the front from small and level tee blocks. The rolling fairway runs both uphill and downhill in spots and there is a slight dogleg left as you near the green. The rough is medium in length and there are no hazards on this hole. The medium size green has a maintained fringe, with a rolling and receptive feel. It runs at a medium speed.

One of the nicest holes on the beautiful course starts with level and small tee blocks on this final par 5. The fairway is a bit of an “S” shape, runs slightly downhill, is rolling, and has medium length rough. There is a nice water hazard right and short of the green and there are no bunkers. The green is medium in size and speed, with a maintained fringe. It is very receptive and rolling.

SUMMARY:

Boulder Creek Golf Club is just an extremely consistent golf course in nearly all aspects. The ratings were very close from point to point and hole to hole. This public golf course is very solid in its maintenance with the exception of some pebbles and stones in some of the bunkers on the front nine. The course offers elevation changes, separate tee box areas, a few blind shots, and lush fairways. On a picturesque day it will give an outstanding golf experience to golfers of all skill levels even though it is a challenging course. The fabric of the course is built around wonderful scenery.  An overall consistency of play from tee to green was present and this makes Boulder Creek Golf Club an enjoyable and decent value.
