Belvedere Golf Club Clubhouse

Clubhouse and AmenitiesRating 5.33

The Clubhouse at historic Belvedere Golf Club, located in near Lake Charlevoix not far from Lake Michigan, is satisfactory, yet their offerings are notably limited. Parking facilities are subpar, and there’s a lack of amenities such as a food menu or bar. Additionally, the selection of golf equipment is minimal, with only balls and tees provided. On the upside, there is a reasonable range of apparel available. However, there’s no bag drop service, and while the carts are of decent quality, the cart paths require improvement. The service however is commendable with a friendly staff and the amenities useful for working on your short game.

SUMMARY:

The 18-hole Belvedere Golf Club in northern Michigan presents a paradox in several respects. Certain aspects of the course, such as the fairways, bunkers, greens, and the limited water hazards, are exceptionally well-maintained. However, other areas like tee blocks, cart paths, parking, and clubhouse amenities leave much to be desired. Playing 6,906 yards from its longest tees, the course offers multiple sets of tees and unique things that makes it enjoyable for players of all different skill levels. Although we hesitate to outright recommend it, the course does offer some challenging spots and represents a moderate value given current rates. With improvements to clubhouse offerings and some attention to detail, Belvedere has the potential to become a premier destination for golfers. Belvedere GC has hosted the Michigan Amateur Championship.
